Salem Walking Tour to highlight abolitionist history, Teach Truth Day of Action

SALEM — On Saturday, community members are invited to explore Salem’s lesser-known history through a guided walking tour highlighting the town’s role in the abolitionist movement. The event will begin at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church on Second Street. Participants will visit locations where prominent figures such as Frederick Douglass, Sojourner Truth, Parker Pillsbury, and other abolitionists spoke, organized and advanced the cause of ending slavery, including the Mt.
