Winona Ruritans hold May meeting

WINONA — The Winona Ruritan Club held its May meeting May 26 at the Winona Friends Church. President Rob Doyle Jr. called the meeting to order at 7 p.m. and led the group in singing “America.” Homer Althouse gave an update of his wife’s Marilyn recent hospital stay and reported that she is at home and doing well. Althouse then gave the Invocation. East Palestine resident becomes junior member of American Angus Association

Cody L Mollenkopf, East Palestine, is a new junior member of the American Angus Association. Junior members of the Association are eligible to register cattle in the American Angus Association, participate in programs conducted by the National Junior Angus Association and take part in Association-sponsored shows and other national and regional events. The American Angus Association is the largest beef breed association in the world, with more than 21,000 active adult and junior members. SALEM — The Brightside Project will sponsor its 4th Annual Golf Outing June 20 at Flying B Golf Course in Salem. This community fundraiser will bring together golfers, local businesses, and supporters for a day on the course while raising funds to support children in Columbiana County and rural Mahoning County.
