St. Ann Church pierogi sale

St. Ann Church, 323 S. 15th St., Sebring, will hold its annual Lenten pierogi sale Fridays Feb. 20 through March 27, while food lasts. Lunch, dinner and carry out is available from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The menu includes halushki for $3, pierogies for $1 each or $12 a dozen (potato and cheese, kraut, and jalapeno), and apple fritters for $2. Valentine’s Day Breakfast

Angels for Animals will host a Valentine’s Day Breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at Andrews Hall, 4750 W.  South Range Road, Canfield. Breakfast will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, cheesy potatoes, bacon, pastries and drink. Cost is $14; children 5 years and under are free. The event will include a basket raffle and 50/50 drawing. There will also be Valentine’s Day photos available in the shelter, Door B, from 10 a.m. to noon. Rodman Library escape room

ALLIANCE – In 2016, an unusually clever octopus named Inky escaped from a New Zealand aquarium by opening his tank, sliding across the floor, and squeezing through a drainpipe back into the ocean. His adventure was captured in the book “Inky’s Amazing Escape” by Sy Montgomery, the author of “The Soul of an Octopus,” the 2026 One Book One Community selection. MCCTC completes credential program for workforce development

CANFIELD — The Mahoning County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC) has completed a microcredential training program funded for workforce development by the Ohio Department of Development for $498,000, resulting in more than 166 Ohioans completing the Cybersecurity Essentials certification course.
