SALEM — The Salem Memorial Building will be hosting its second annual Senior Expo. “We’re primarily looking to connect people in the senior community with people who have resources available that could be beneficial for that community. Elections board director predicts over 50% voter turnout
LISBON — The Columbiana County Board of Elections allocated voting machines and ballots to get ready for the Nov. 3 election, issuing a reminder that the deadline to register to vote is 9 p.m. Monday. The board met Thursday to discuss preparations for the general election and Director Kim Fusco made an early prediction for turnout. “I’m going to say 50-55%. New Waterford looking at single garbage hauler for residents
NEW WATERFORD — The village is taking bids to begin contracting with a single garbage hauler for residential service. Council this month passed a resolution to seek bids for the service and Village Mayor Shane Patrone said the idea is to alleviate wear and tear of local roads. “This was done to limit the truck sizes and the amount of trucks that use the village streets.
