Perry Township voters to see new police levy on November ballot

PERRY TOWNSHIP — Perry Township voters will be presented with the question of a new levy for the police department in November. During its meeting Monday, the board of trustees unanimously approved a resolution to place a new 1.5-mill property tax levy for the police department on the ballot in the upcoming November election. The proposed levy has a five-year collection period beginning in tax year 2026 and continuing through tax year 2030. Columbiana approves annual Street Fair, with some minor changes

COLUMBIANA — The city’s annual Street Fair received approval from City Council recently, and this year’s event will include a few minor changes. Street Fair organizer Jacob Sevek of the Columbiana American Legion presented the plans to council last week. The 139th annual Street Fair will take place Sept. 10-12. “There are some changes this year, thanks to progress on Main Street and uptown, so I am very excited about it,” Sevek said.
