Three people seriously injured in Salem Township crash

LISBON — Troopers from the Lisbon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left three people seriously injured at 12:59 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of state Route 45 and Teegarden Road, more commonly known as the bottom of the ski slope in Salem Township. According to a patrol press release, a 2017 Chevy Impala was traveling southbound on state Route 45 when an eastbound Chevy S-10 on Teegarden Road failed to yield at the stop sign and was struck by the Impala in the intersection. Parks commission approves equipment repairs

SALEM — The parks commission approved equipment repairs in its May meeting. Parks Foreman Wes Bryan told the commissioners that he spoke with Unkefer Sales, a Kubota dealer based in Minerva, and the estimated cost of repairs necessary to return the parks department’s Kubota to working condition was $4,500. However, the cost to repair all its issues was estimated to be closer to $10,000.
