Court News LISBON — A Salineville man who fled from deputies after threatening another man in the Spring Valley Road area in 2020 was sentenced to consecutive sentences of 36 months and eight months for a total of 44 months in prison. CANFIELD (WKBN) — After 60 years of pancakes and chicken dinners, the Greenford Ruritan Club will not attend this year’s Canfield Fair. The club made the announcement on social media Wednesday. “The Greenford Ruritan has always been proud to serve our community, and that has only been possible because of the loyalty of our patrons and supporters, and the dedication of our volunteers. United Local implements new grading scale for high school

HANOVERTON — A new grading scale is in place for United Local High School students for the new school year. The new scale is included in the student handbooks the board of education approved during the Aug. 15 meeting. The board originally approved going back to the 10-point grading scale earlier this year with it effective for high school students beginning this school year. As a result, an A grade is 90-100, B is 80-89, C is 70-79, and so forth. Previously, students were on a scale in which an A grade was between 93-100, a B grade was 85 to 92, a C grade was 74-84, and so ...

Woman accused of threatening to blow up Leetonia school campus gets jail time, house arrest

LISBON — The woman accused of threatening to blow up the Leetonia K-12 school in January must serve three days in jail, 15 days house arrest and pay a $1,000 fine plus other costs for an amended charge of inducing panic.
