Salem

— Officers responded to the area of East Second Street and North Lincoln Avenue at 2:43 a.m. Friday for a possible warrant check. Dispatch advised that three men were observed on the city camera walking in that area, one of which resembled a person with an active warrant. Officers spoke with the men and determined that none were the wanted person.

— Officers responded to the 1000 block of North Ellsworth Avenue at 11:34 p.m. Thursday for a report of a suspicious person walking around the community center. Upon investigating the matter, officers found that it was a custodian doing maintenance.

— Officers responded to the 200 block of Oak Street at 11:14 p.m. Thursday for a reported suspicious vehicle. The caller advised that the vehicle had sat outside for about 10 minutes and left, and officers advised them to call if the vehicle returned.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 6:18 p.m. Thursday to assist the fire department with a medical call that may have been a possible assault. Officers checked the house for any signs of foul play, locating none, and determined that there was no assault.

— Officers responded to the 1100 block of Oak Street at 2:59 p.m. Thursday for a reported juvenile complaint. The caller advised that a juvenile has been knocking over his trash can for the past couple of days. Officers spoke with the school resource officer and gave them the description of the juvenile, and they will speak with them in school the next day.

— Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Lincoln Avenue at 2:42 p.m. Thursday for a report of fraud. The caller advised that an unknown number was added to his phone account. Officers spoke with the phone company and gathered information to file a report. The information was passed onto the caller.

— Officers responded to the 100 block of West State Street at 2:10 p.m. Thursday for a report of criminal trespassing. The caller advised two women were in the store causing issues and refusing to leave. A trespass form was filled out, and the women were notified.

— Officers responded to the 400 block of East Fourth Street at 11:32 a.m. Thursday for a reported 911 hang-up call. Officers spoke with the resident who advised that he did not call 911, nor did he need any medical attention.

Columbiana

— Taurean McCullough, of Youngstown, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at 9:52 p.m. Oct. 31 on state Route 7 near Garfield Road, following a routine traffic stop.

–Luis R. Rodriguez, of Boardman, was arrested on an active warrant out of Boardman Township police department at 2:19 p.m. Oct. 30 near state Route 14 and McCloskey Road after a routine traffic stop.

— DOAs were reported at 5:29 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 300 block of Pittsburgh St. and at 8:06 a.m. Oct. 30 on Court Street, where officers assisted EMS. Nothing appeared suspicious in either case.

— Larry White, of New Waterford, was arrested on charges of OVI and driving under OVI suspension at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29 in the 300 block of state Route 14.

— Brent Stoychof, of Toledo, was cited shortly after midnight Oct. 29 for driving under suspension near state Routes 7 and 14 and his vehicle towed,.

— Tyeisha McQueen, of Youngstown, was cited at 8:04 p.m. Oct. 27 for driving under suspension on state Route 164.

— Jeremy Brown, of Struthers, was cited at 8:18 p.m. Oct. 28 for driving under suspension on state Route 164.

Sheriff’s Office

— An Oakridge Road, Yellow Creek Township resident reported at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday that he was not at his residence from Oct. 18 to Nov. 3 and when he returned, the front door had been forced open and multiple items in the home were missing.

— A woman on King Road, Butler Township reported at 3:23 p.m. Wednesday that she believed a man she has a protection order against was on her property due to finding the cigarette brand he smokes inside the fuel door of her vehicle parked in the driveway.

— A civil matter was reported at 8:30 p.m. Tuesdasy on state Route 164, Wayne Township. A deputy spoke to the complainant and told them how to proceed.

— A man on Hartley Road, Knox Township reported a custody issue at 6:48 p.m. Tuesday, saying that his ex-wife was not following the court order or letting him speak to the children.

— A welfare check was requested at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday on state Route 7, Fairfield Township. Upon arrival, a deputy made multiple attempts to make contact with the person, but was unable to make contact.

— Deputies responded at 8:31 p.m. Monday to Chamberlain Street, Middleton Township for a domestic. Deputies spoke to all parties involved and were advised everything was verbal and refusals were signed. All parties went their separate ways for the night.

— Deputies were dispatched at 10:10 p.m. Saturday to East Main Street, Salineville for a juvenile-related report.

— A woman on Old Irondale Road, Yellow Creek Township called at 7:13 p.m. Saturday to report ongoing issues with her neighbor playing loud music, riding ATVs in front of her residence up and down the road. She said they were currently intoxicated and playing loud music. Deputies did not hear any loud music upon arrival, but advised the homeowner of the complaints against him.

— A barking dog was reported at 1 a.m. Oct. 29 on Rauch Road, Unity Township, but a deputy checked the area and did not hear any.

— A woman in Middleton Township reported at 8:18 p.m. Thursday that a Salem man who is an inmate in the Columbiana County jail was telling her daughter that when he gets out of jail, he’s going to cause harm to her mother. A deputy spoke with the man in the jail and advised him of the complaint against him. He said he made no such statement about the woman.

— A Lowellville man reported at 5:29 p.m. Thursday that his camping trailer at Fireside Lake Campground, Rochester Road, West Township, was entered between Oct. 24 and Nov. 6, with multiple items stolen from inside the camper, no forced entry was made. He said his ex-wife still has a key to gain entry and may have stolen the items.

— A woman on state Route 39, Washington Township, reported at 5:08 p.m. Thursday that her neighbor trespassed on her property to give her horses hay. She said she’s posting no trespassing signs around the property. About an hour earlier, at 4:11 p.m. Thursday, she reported a woman in East Liverpool was making false statements about her on social media on a Wellsville site about her abusing horses. She said she contacted the administrator of the site and the statements were removed. She was advised to contact an attorney.

— A man on Mindling Lane, West Township reported at 3:45 p.m. Thursday that someone was trespassing on his property and took an axe to the bottom of one of the trees on his property.

— A domestic dispute was reported at 12:13 a.m. Thursday on Pinewood Drive, New Waterford. Both parties were separated and advised there had been an argument; however, voices were not raised and there was no physical violence. Both parties appeared in good health and there were no visible injuries.

— Deputies responded at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday to Morris Auto Repair, state Route 45, Center Township, regarding a suspicious vehicle. Deputies found the car running and unoccupied. Deputies secured the car and found it may have electrical issues.

— An alarm was reported at a building on old state Route 154, Elkrun Township. A deputy checked the building and found it secure. The rest of the property was patrolled and nothing appeared suspicious.
