LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against Stephen James McRae, 43, Davidsville, Pa., were bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felony tampering with evidence and misdemeanors of engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and obstructing official business for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website of two women and arranging for sexual activity with them in exchange for $30, then arriving in East Palestine on Oct. 31 for the meeting. He allegedly started to delete the texting application he was using and not exiting the vehicle. An officer had to physically hold the window down to prevent him from rolling it up on officers and he would not unlock the door, which had to be unlocked by officers.

A preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Dec. 15 for Johnathan A. Post Sr., 37, last known address St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with third-degree felony having weapons under disability and misdemeanor use of unauthorized plate for allegedly possessing a 9mm pistol under his seat while he was a passenger during a traffic stop in Salem on Nov. 14. The traffic charge stemmed from a June 6 traffic stop in Lisbon.

A pretrial was set Feb. 10 for Michael W. Loy, 50, Shafter Lane, East Liverpool, charged with domestic violence for allegedly pushing a woman hard against a door frame on Nov. 15 in East Liverpool, causing bruising and swelling of her right arm.

Ronald C. Bailey, 53, Canterbury Court, Columbiana, was fined $500 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for assault amended from domestic violence. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and to have no contact with the victim. Bailey was accused of following another man outside at Riser’s Tavern in Columbiana on March 21 and attacking him, pushing him from behind multiple times, striking him with a closed fist multiple times and using a chokehold on him.

Joseph Daniel Mason, 41, Vine Street, East Liverpool, was fined $600 and sentenced to 20 days in jail, with credit for 20 days served, for assault and criminal damaging. Mason was accused of choking a woman and breaking a brass lamp and her cell phone on Oct 23 in East Liverpool.

A pretrial was set Feb. 17 for Jonathon R. Easterday, 35, last known address Ravine Street, East Liverpool, charged with assault, furnish false information and no valid license for a traffic case and for punching another man in the face on Oct. 6 in East Liverpool.

Nasrullaev, 31, Corapolis, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a woman in exchange for $140, driving to East Palestine on Nov. 15 for the meeting with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.

A pretrial was set Dec. 4 for Zachary Richard Mumford, 40, Newton Falls, charged with obstructing official business for allegedly giving someone else’s name to police during a suspicious activity investigation on Oct. 6 in East Liverpool.

Howard Hamilton Hill, 57, Yorktown, Va., was fined $750 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service and a 12-hour online course. The sentence was stayed pending appeal. Hill was accused of responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with women in exchange for $140, then driving to East Palestine on Feb. 7 for the meeting, with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.

Devante D. Williams, 32, Ravenna, was fined $300 and given a suspended 90-day jail term for engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service and an online prostitution prevention course. Williams was accused of requesting sexual conduct from an undercover agent for the price of $100, then driving to Salem on April 22 for the meeting, with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession.

A pretrial was set Feb. 4 for Tanner Baldwin Shawl, 40, Finleyville, Pa., charged with engaging in prostitution, possessing criminal tools and drug paraphernalia for allegedly responding to an undercover ad on a known prostitution website and arranging for sexual activity with a woman in exchange for $80, driving to East Palestine on Nov. 14 for the meeting, with the phone used to make the arrangements in his possession. He also possessed an item used in the smoking of crack cocaine and also suspected crack cocaine.

A pretrial was set Feb. 17 for Danielle M. Staats, 38, Ash Street, Salem, charged with endangering children for allegedly admitting to smoking marijuana prior to walking a baby in a baby stroller in extreme heat on July 16 in Salem. The affidavit said she was struggling walking, talking and interacting with police and a glass marijuana pipe was found on the stroller.

A pretrial was set Dec. 15 for Kurt Robert Brown, 45, Alice Street, East Palestine, charged with two counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting with another man while intoxicated on Sept. 15 in East Palestine.

A pretrial was set Feb. 11 for Rick D. Hickman, 49, Depot Road, Salem, charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass for allegedly trespassing on a neighbor’s property with landscaping tools, tearing up and the removing the landscaping timber that marks the driveway. The timber was on the victim’s property and a police affidavit said officers have responded to the two properties on Depot Road in Perry Township more than 40 times in the past seven years due to neighbor disputes, with all parties well aware to stay off of each other’s property.

A pretrial was set Dec. 4 for Kayla M. Foster, 35, Ravine Street, East Liverpool, charged with resisting arrest for allegedly attempting to pull away from a deputy while being taken into custody for a warrant and attempting to move forward while flinging her arms in an attempt to escape from deputies on Nov. 14 in East Liverpool.

A probation violation hearing was set Nov. 25 for Harleigh Louann Crawford, 23, East Martin Street, East Palestine, for violation of the terms of probation for several cases from 2025 and 2024 for drug paraphernalia, theft, and criminal trespass.

Braeden A. Joy, 22, West Maple Street, Lisbon, was fined $925 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended and proposed credit for three days for attendance at a driver intervention program, for operating a vehicle impaired and failure to dim lights. Another OVI charge was dismissed. His driver’s license was suspended for one year, with driving privileges granted. He was ordered to complete 40 hours community service.

Aaron M. Dettmer, 23, Youngstown, was fined $915 and sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 87 days suspended, $500 of the fine suspended and credit for three days served in a driver intervention program, for physical control amended form OVI and speeding. Another OVI charge was dismissed. He was ordered to complete 20 hours community service.

A pretrial was set Feb. 10 for Brian Lee Bable, 42, Walnut Street, Rogers, charged with OVI first offense and reasonable control.

A pretrial was set Feb. 10 for Lindsay Rianne Maclean, 30, Steubenville Pike Road, Lisbon, charged with speeding-school zone.

Jerome Atizia, 26, Youngstown, was fined $200 and given a suspended 30-day jail term for driving under suspension. He was ordered to serve 10 days of electronically monitored house arrest, with work and school privileges.

Alvin S. Pugh Jr., 63, St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, was ordered to pay court costs only for failure to reinstate license and traffic control devices.

Michael B. Johnson, 48, First Street, Wellsville, was fined $250 and sentenced to five days in jail for driving under suspension.

Angel Lopez, 53, East Fifth Street, Salem, was found not guilty of driving under suspension, with proof of insurance provided.

Edward A. Dzikiy, 76, Beaver Falls, Pa., was fined $30 for speeding.

A charge of unauthorized plate against John Blinsky Jr., 24, Youngstown, was dismissed.

Michael D. Johnston, 32, Tague Street, East Liverpool, was fined $200 for assured clear distance and driving under suspension.

Michael Brian Johnson, 48, First Street, Wellsville, was fined $25 for no seatbelt.

LISBON — A Leetonia man was sentenced to seven months in prison after pleading guilty to a drug possession charge in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.

Ryan W. Bevington, 48, Somer Street, entered the plea to possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possessing buprenorphine on Nov. 9, 2022. He received credit for 22 days already served in jail.

Also in Common Pleas:

— Robert C. Cochran, 37, West Pershing Street, Salem, was sentenced to a term at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center until the program is complete for fifth-degree felony charges of possession of drugs, aggravated possession of drugs and two counts possession of cocaine, along with forfeiture specifications for money from a drug case. He was ordered to forfeit $869. On Sept. 13, 2023, he possessed cocaine. On Feb. 5, 2024, he possessed cocaine, alprazolam and methamphetamine, along with the $869.

— Amanda D. Ryan, 32, St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Lisbon, was placed on a treatment plan for three years after pleading guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for possesssing methamphetamine on Aug. 11, 2024.
