Sheriff’s Office
— A woman on Boston Street, Salem Township, reported at 7:21 p.m. Wednesday that her 13-year-old daughter was refusing to go back with her father. She was advised to contact an attorney.
— A man on state Route 170, Middleton Township reported at 6:26 p.m. Wednesday that his neighbor is always yelling and screaming from his property at himself for no reason. He said he provides the neighbor with coffee and food all the time and if he continues with this behavior, he’s not going to provide him with the items.
— A person on Meadow Wood Drive, Butler Township called at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday to request an ambulance transport them to a hospital due to suicidal threats they were having. The person was transported to a hospital in Stark County by Damascus EMS.
— A residential alarm was reported at 1:14 a.m. Wednesday on Buck Road, Knox Township where the owner was home at the time. Deputies checked the perimeter and then the interior of the residence. All was found secure and there did not appear to be anything suspicious located.
— A deputy was dispatched at 11:07 p.m. Tuesday to Homeworth Road, Knox Township, for a 911 open line. The homeowner said everything was fine.
Salem
— Officers responded to the area of Roosevelt Avenue and East State Street at 1:26 p.m. Wednesday for a two-car motor vehicle accident. The damage was slight. No injuries reported. Officers photographed the damage and provided both drivers with a report number.
— Officers responded to the 100 block of Vine Avenue at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday for a person having a possible mental health crisis. The counseling center wanted officers to pink slip the woman in question and after observation did not observe any indicators to substantiate the issuance of a pink slip. The woman denied having any thoughts of self-harm and a family member responded to pick them up.
— Officers responded to the 2300 block of East State Street at 10:21 a.m. Wednesday for a report of accidental damage. The caller advised a person had accidentally struck their vehicle while opening a door to another vehicle. Minor damage was caused to the caller’s vehicle, and officers obtained information for both parties involved. A report number was provided to the caller.
— Officers responded to the 2500 block of Lexington Avenue at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday for a reported civil issue. The caller advised they were two checks by a tenant which bounced and that the tenant had not paid rent. Officers advised them that they would need to file for eviction through the courts. Officers spoke with the tenant who advised he had taken care of the issues with the checks through his bank but refused to pay rent due to maintenance grievances. Officers advised them that the issue was civil.
— Officers responded to the 300 block of East Fourth Street at 6:05 a.m. Wednesday for a report of people rummaging through a dumpster. Officers checked the area, but the people in question left before they arrived.
Lisbon
— A male subject reported at 3:23 p.m. March 6 that a known male subject had removed some items from his apartment in the 300 block of West Lincoln Way while hospitalized. He denied stealing anything but had admitted to taking the resident’s mail inside.
— An officer assisted the sheriff with an assault investigation at 1:32 a.m. March 11 in the Travelers’ Motel.
— Police retrieved a stolen bicycle at 1:23 a.m. March 11 in the 300 block of West Washington Street and returned it to its owner.
— A resident in the 400 block of West Washington Street reported at 3:58 p.m. March 7 that her daughter’s vehicle had been vandalized.
— Police fielded a complaint stemming from a threat made March 6 by a bartender at a local social organization. Although he didn’t want to press charges, the subject wanted the complaint on file in case his house was to burn down.
