Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a pretrial was set Sept. 25 for Joseph F. Helpy, 60, Garfield Avenue, East Liverpool, charged with assault for allegedly striking another man in the face and knocking him to the ground, after he claimed the victim stood in a fighting stance towards him and swung and missed on Sept. 15 in East Palestine. Vaneesa Marie Pressley, 33, Manor Lane, East Liverpool, was fined $250 and given a suspended 180-day jail term for assault. Sheriff’s Office — Deputies responded at 12:13 a.m. Saturday to a noise complaint on Chamberlain Street, Negley where they found a large party with loud music. The owner of the property was told to turn down the music and turned it down before deputies left. — A suspicious person was reported walking on the road in the area of Carey and Slater roads in Butler Township at 6:49 a.m. Friday.
