Court News LISBON — A Lisbon man accused of threatening to kill a woman while choking her and punching her last fall was sentenced to at least nine years in prison after being found guilty of all charges. Frederick E. Krueger, 35, Shelby Road, appeared recently before Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Scott Washam to receive his punishment after Washam found him guilty during a trial to the court. Salem — A suspicious vehicle was located in the 100 block of Continental Drive with its parking lights on and parked in line with other vehicles for sale at 2:23 a.m. Thursday. When the vehicle was illuminated with overhead lights, it pulled out of the lot and fled from officers. A pursuit was initiated through a section of the neighborhood before continuing west on Benton Road. The pursuit was terminated after sight of the vehicle was lost. Court News LISBON — A Salineville man accused of running over a deputy’s foot and fleeing after an incident when he threatened another man in the Spring Valley Road area in 2020 will face sentencing this morning in that case and a nonsupport of dependents case. Scott M. Haines, 52, state Route 164, faced a jury trial last week for the July 19, 2020 incident near Salineville, with jurors finding him innocent or not guilty of first-degree felony felonious assault related to running over the deputy’s foot. Salem — Officers checked on a person reportedly walking back and forth between the windows of the drive-thru at a business in the 1700 block of East State Street at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday. Officers spoke with the person who advised he needed something to drink, and the fire department and EMT responded due to the person appearing to be under the influence of unknown substances.
