To the editor: As Mayor of the City of Salem, I want to thank the following citizens and organizations for their generous support and sponsorship, and for once again making this year’s fireworks display possible. It is important to remember that no tax dollars are spent to purchase fireworks. To the editor: Governor Dewine made the rounds recently in his presumptive Santa Claus suit finally handing out the funds from the Appalachian Capital Fund … funds that have been sitting in Columbus for an inordinate amount of time. To the editor: Salem Preservation members are in high gear as they prepare several major programs for the 51st National Preservation Month in May! May 1st will kick off a trilogy of events that have been in the works for some time now.
