WHEELING, W.Va. — Columbiana’s foray into the OVAC Class 3A semifinals didn’t go smoothly as top-seed Martins Ferry scored six runs in the fifth inning to put the Clippers away 12-3 on Tuesday at the I-470 Complex. Brooke McKim led the Clippers with two hits and an RBI. Alexis Sperling and Callahan Ward had doubles. Ella Eisenbraun took the loss with five strikeouts and two walks in 4 1/3 innings of work.
