Crestview bowlers shy of state LORAIN — Wellsville junior twins Madelyn and Makayla Landess came up just short of Division II state tournament berths at the district bowling tournament Saturday at Rebman Recreation. Madelyn Landess finished in 11th place with a 526 series (144-166-216), which was 24 pins shy of a state berth. Makayla Landess, the Warren sectional champion, was 16th with a 514 series (146-186-192). West Branch 43, South Range 39 GREENFORD — West Branch held South Range to five points in the fourth quarter and rallied for a 43-39 victory Saturday. The Warriors trailed 34-31 after three quarters. West Branch finished the regular season at 14-8 after a 2-5 start. The Warriors were 5-3 in games decided by five points or less.
