A Crestview sweep WARREN — The Crestview bowling teams captured a pair of twins Wednesday against Brookfield at Champion Lanes. The Crestview boys won 2384-1986. Peyton Mellott led the Rebels with a 212 game and 414 series. Brody Brubaker added a 371 series, Lucas Johnson a 352 series and Chris Johnson a 275 series. X-Tra Milers to meet SALEM — The Salem X-Tra Mile Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Monday in the high school cafeteria. Fitch unveils $12-million facility AUSTINTOWN — Austintown Fitch unveiled its new $12-million, 42,000-square foot indoor training facility to the public on Monday. Austintown broke ground on the project in 2023. Olympics coming to Ohio

COLUMBUS — Ohio’s first shot at hosting Olympic competition will come with the 2028 Los Angeles Games. The Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games announced on Tuesday that Columbus will host soccer matches for the Summer Games. Select men’s and women’s group stage games will be held at Lower.com Field, the home of the Columbus Crew. The stadium opened in 2021 and seats more than 20,000. EAST LIVERPOOL — Maelee Smith’s last-second basket tied the game in regulation and Marin Stryffeler hit a pair of three-pointers in overtime to give United a 53-44 win over East Liverpool at the Potter Fieldhouse on Monday.
