The hearing was held for the rezone of the 6.279 acres of property the city is annexing from Unity Township on behalf of Lakefront Preserve LLC, a local real estate holding and property development company. LISBON — The preliminary hearing in the felony domestic violence case against former Liverpool Township police chief Jayson W. Jackson set for Aug. 3 has been moved to 1 p.m. Aug. 17. Chris Amato, the defense attorney retained by Jackson, requested the new hearing date due to a scheduling conflict. Lisbon man pleads guilty to assault for 2025 Madison Township shooting

LISBON — A Lisbon man charged with felonious assault and other counts related to a 2025 shooting in Madison Township will face sentencing at 10 a.m. Aug. 28 in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court after entering a guilty plea. Hunter Congrove, 23, state Route 45, pleaded guilty to felonious assault, a second-degree felony, a firearm specification and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony.
