Goshen Township trustees approve 2027 tax budget

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP — The board of trustees approved the township’s 2027 tax budget in its meeting Tuesday. Fiscal Officer Michele Barratt stressed that the tax budget is distinct from the township’s operating budget, which is reviewed and approved by the trustees annually, and are best projections for use by the county. LISBON — A jury trial remains set for 8:30 a.m. Aug. 5 for an Illinois man charged for allegedly possessing images of child pornography after being caught in a sex-for-hire sting in 2024. County park board wants Lisbon’s cliffs

LISBON — The Columbiana County Park District Board voted Monday to go forward with the process to acquire the popular rock climbing cliffs from the village of Lisbon. Park commissioners agreed to the idea of entering a memorandum of understanding with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy to start the process for the transfer of 41 acres from the village to the park district.
