Man charged with assault found not guilty by reason of insanity

LISBON — A Washingtonville man found not guilty by reason of insanity in 2024 for felonious assault and other charges will remain on conditional release in the community. Former Lock 24 building gets new lease on life

ELKTON (WKBN) — A historic Columbiana County landmark is entering a new chapter. A barn along Route 154 in Elkton that dates back to the 1830s is under new ownership. Most people know the property as Lock 24, but now it’s called the 1830 Gathering Place. The building has seen many businesses come and go throughout the years. Columbiana schools give updates on improvements

COLUMBIANA — Upgrades are ongoing for the Columbiana School District. In addition to the improvements at the Ward Athletic Complex, the district is also continuing to update heating and air conditioning units and is looking into a roofing project. District Superintendent Dr. Don Mook briefed the board on the HVAC and roofing projects this month, after first providing a brief update on the athletic improvements.
