Salem among communities to receive CDBG approval

LISBON — Street improvement projects in Salem, Wellsville and Columbiana received approval Wednesday for Columbiana County’s 2026 Community Development Block Grant application, with work to be done next year if awarded. Columbiana schools enrollment continues to decline

COLUMBIANA — Low birth rates, homeschool, open enrollment and private school vouchers are continuing to affect enrollment at the Columbiana School District. District Superintendent Dr. Don Mook provided the board of education this month with the latest enrollment figures compared to prior years.
