Athletics dominate discussion at United board meetings

Salem man killed after crash into Ashtabula restaurant

ASHTABULA, Ohio (WJW) – A local man was killed after a crash into an Ashtabula restaurant, which is now indefinitely closed. Just before 4 a.m. Friday, Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers responded to state Route 531 at state Route 11 in Ashtabula. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Silverado headed northbound on state Route 11, went off the north side of the road, hit a concrete post, a fence, a house and The Crow’s Nest Restaurant. City of Salem officially appeals denied annexation of Perry Township property

LISBON — The city of Salem officially filed a notice of appeal with the Supreme Court of Ohio last Friday to challenge the denial of a proposed annexation on Beechwood Road, claiming three legal issues related to Ohio’s annexation statutes would be undermined if not addressed by the high court.
