Ladies Day of Shopping

SALEM – The Salem Golf Club Women’s Association will present Ladies Day of Shopping craft show and special Christmas items from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21 at the Salem Golf Club. The event is open to the public. Social distancing and masks will be required.

The event will feature at least 18 crafters and vendors with various products. An entrance packet will be provided including a mask and vinyl gloves for each customer.

Participating vendors include L&M Designs Jewelry (Salem), Winona United Methodist Church Hazel Circle, Erin Geiger-Sprinkle Me Pink (Canton), Patti Golitko-Accents by Patti (McKees Rocks, Pa.), B.A. Bakes LLC (Canfield), The Wood Flag Guy (Newton Falls), Crafty Creations by Shelly (Hanoverton), Thirty-One Gifts (Canton), Jodi Kiko-Mary Kay Cosmetics & Skin Care (Salem), Jodi Kiko-Studio Pink Boutique, Jen Breyley-Tastefully Simple (North Canton), Karen Warner-Lila Rose Stylist (Louisville), Jenny’s Originals (Canfield), Michelle Scott-Made by Michelle (Winona), Carmen Keener-Always Carmen (Akron) and Kathy Sabatino-The Sewing Room (Salem).

Medication Assistance

LISBON– The Medication Assistance Program will be at the Lisbon United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 4. This program is for anyone who needs help paying for prescription drugs. Bring all prescription bottles, proof of income and insurance cards.

Al Anon suspended

LISBON– Monday Night Al Anon meetings at Fleming House are suspended until further notice.

Banquet in Salem

SALEM– St. Paul Catholic Church will sponsor the drive-thru Banquet in Salem from 5 p.m. until the food is gone (no later than 7 p.m.) Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. Meals are limited to one per person in a vehicle. The menu will include fried chicken, parsley potatoes, green beans, cole slaw and cookies. Line up is behind the Memorial Building with directions from a parking attendant. For information contact Patty Colian at 330-831-2169.

Diabetes program

CANFIELD– Marie Economos and Beth Stefura, Family and Consumer Sciences Educators from the Ohio State University Extension, will present free, online program about the basics of diabetes management as well as tips on making better choices and staying motivated during the holiday season. Four classes are available and each is the same. The program will be offered at 11 a.m. Nov. 4, 5 p.m. Nov. 18, 11 a.m. Dec. 14 and 5 p.m. Dec. 16. Registration is required at https://go.osu.edu/takechargeholidays and a virtual Zoom link will be sent before the class.
