A public meeting to share information regarding the new power plant/data center located in Yellow Creek Township has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, May 28, at Highlandtown Volunteer Fire Department. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. All questions will be answered by company officials.

Washingtonville VFW to host Memorial Day activities

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 a “Toast to the Post” honoring deceased veterans will be held at 9 a.m. at VFW Post 5532, Washingtonville. The parade will form at Jim Santini Builders lot on School Street in Washingtonville and begin at 10 a.m., proceeding to the Veterans Memorial at VFW Post 5532. The Leetonia High School band, under the direction of Randy Rodik, will participate. Local youth and civic organization are invited to join the parade.
