Banquet in Salem will be held Memorial Day The Dine in or Drive Thru Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 p.m. until the food is gone Monday at the Salem Memorial Building. The menu will include hot dog, potato salad, baked beans, applesauce, fresh vegetables and fruit, cookies. Dine in will park in designated area behind the building and proceed to front door. Washingtonville VFW to host Memorial Day activities

On Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 a “Toast to the Post” honoring deceased veterans will be held at 9 a.m. at VFW Post 5532, Washingtonville. The parade will form at Jim Santini Builders lot on School Street in Washingtonville and begin at 10 a.m., proceeding to the Veterans Memorial at VFW Post 5532. The Leetonia High School band, under the direction of Randy Rodik, will participate. Local youth and civic organization are invited to join the parade.
