United Wall of Fame inductees selected

HANOVERTON – At the May meeting of the United Local Wall of Fame, six inductees were selected from the nominations. They will be honored at the United football game of Friday, Oct. 11 and inducted at a dinner and induction ceremony on Saturday, Sept. 12 in the school cafeteria. Two local public libraries receive grant funding

Two local public libraries have been awarded state funding. The Salem Public Library will receive $10,143 and the Columbiana Public Library $13,500 in Guiding Ohio Online grants through the State Library of Ohio. During its May meeting, the State Library of Ohio Board approved more than $368,000 in federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding for eighteen public libraries across the state.
