LISBON – In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Daniel K. Duncan, 36, Schneider Road, Hanoverton, was fined $500, required 50 hours community service, credited with 18 days in jail and sentenced to 58 days for assault, aggravated menacing, resisting arrest and domestic violence. Duncan reported had threatened to kill his half brother several times, refused to cooperate with Salineville police on May 10 and threatened to harm police.
A theft charge against Duncan was dismissed at the request of the prosecutor’s office. Duncan was charged for allegedly driving away in Amanda Kackert’s vehicle without her consent while he was intoxicated on July 9. Kackert later wrote a letter explaining the car also belongs to Duncan.
Timothy H. Lewis, 60, East Main Street, Salineville, was fined $200, required 30 hours community service and credited with eight days served in jail for criminal mischief for throwing rocks and damaging a blue 2001 Jeep Liberty on Aug. 6.
Steven Goodman, 33, Continental Drive, Salem, was fined $200, credited with 13 days served in jail and required 40 hours community service for criminal trespassing and violating a temporary protection order. Goodman walked into the home of Raymond Wooten uninvited on June 19 and walking into another nearby home on the same date where his ex-wife Crystal Bates was at and when she had a protection order.
Christopher P. Jennings Jr., 22, West Middletown Road, Salem, was fined $280 and had his license suspended for six months for possession of instruments to ingest or inhale a controlled substance, speeding and no licenses amended from failure to reinstate a license.
Joshua Killing, 19, Gurlea Street, Hanoverton, was fined $100, credited with a day served and required 20 hours community service for disorderly conduct amended from aggravated menacing for threatening he would “blow your head off” just prior to firing a 20-gauge shotgun in the direction of Corey Ozengher on Dec. 15.
James A. Hawkins, 44, West State Street, Salem, was fined $150, credited with one day in jail and required 20 hours community service for criminal damaging for kicking a purple 1997 Ford Ranger and putting dents in it on June 30.
Walker J. Trayes, 19, Quincy Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $150 and had his license suspended for six months for drug abuse for marijuana.
Michael A. Cochran Jr., 22, Sunset Drive, Lisbon, was fined $150 for failure to display a valid sticker and no license amended from driving under suspension.
Jacklyn Welke, 27, Votaw Drive, Lisbon, was fined $150 for failure to display a valid sticker and no license amended from driving under suspension.
Shannon M. Liebi, 37, Lorey Road, East Rochester, was fined $130 for a seat belt violation and no license amended from driving under FRA suspension.
Jesse Jackson, 35, Grant Street, Salem, was fined $100, credited with 13 days in jail and required 30 hours community service for misuse of credit cards for using Melody Felton’s bank account.
An Aug. 25 pretrial was set for Timothy M. Tonkinson, 25, West Clark Street, East Palestine, cited with driving under suspension and two counts of animals running at large.
An Aug. 27 pretrial was set for Breounze S. Young, 20, Mullins Avenue, Salem, charged with assault and underage consumption after he was allegedly in possession of an open beer can and throwing it at a moving vehicle on Tuesday. Then when the vehicle stopped, Young allegedly struck a 16-year-old in the vehicle in the face.
An Aug. 27 pretrial was set for Fred M. Turley, 43, West Park Avenue, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence and obstructing official business for injuries allegedly caused to a family member including those caused by pulling her around outside by her hair. Additionally, he reportedly refused to cooperate with police.
A Sept. 8 pretrial was set for Matthew A. Bush, 32, South Union Avenue, Salem, charged with criminal trespassing for allegedly returning to a home in Salem after being told not to and then becoming involved in a porch fight on Thursday.
A Sept. 22 pretrial was set for Shawn Lee Paulin Sr., 36, Youngstown, cited with driving under FRA suspension.
A Sept. 24 sentencing was set for Michael L. Gravatt, 50, New Castle, Pa., who pleaded guilty to driving under suspension and a seat belt violation.
