Sheriff’s Office — A deputy responded at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday to Elkton Auto Corral, Scroggs Road, Elkrun Township, for an alarm, but the owner advised it was a false alarm. — James Merino, 68, Benton Road, Salem, was charged with burglary, a fourth-degree felony, and taken to the Columbiana County jail after deputies were dispatched at 3:44 p.m. Wednesday to a burglary at a residence on Lisa Lane, Center Township. Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, Thomas McClellan Redman III, 43, Sprucevale Road, Rogers, was fined $250 and sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for 10 days served, leaving 20 days still to serve in jail for domestic violence. A fourth-degree felony strangulation charge was dismissed by the prosecution, with the alleged victim notified. Sheriff’s Office — A deputy responded at 1:02 a.m. Tuesday to an address on Cream Ridge Road, Elkrun Township where prowlers had been reported. The caller told the deputy the people had been under his trailer for the last four to six hours, however, when he called the sheriff’s office, he told the people he called and they fled on foot.
