Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a Salineville woman has been bound over to the grand jury for allegedly having a knife out at the Utica Shale Academy. Britania B. Brown, 44, Haiti Road, is charged with illegal conveyance or possession of a deadly weapon in a school safety zone, a fifth-degree felony. Sheriff’s Office — A juvenile-related report was taken at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday on Lowmiller Road, West Township, with a copy sent to Child Protective Services. — A woman on Millrock Road, Unity Township requested a report be placed on file at 3:31 p.m. Tuesday, per Medicare, that someone hacked into her husband’s account. — Robert Byrd Jr., 45, Tallmadge, was charged with two counts of menacing for allegedly knowingly threatening deputies while in the line of duty during an incident at East Liverpool City Hospital, where he had been transported from the jail. To correct a recent article about the Columbiana County Park District wanting to acquire Camp McKinley, Paul Gagnon, Director of Trail Protection of the North Country Trail Association, said there are no commitments for donations yet and the grant mentioned hasn’t been applied for yet and will be competitive. He said the funding amounts mentioned in the article are only possibilities, with no funding certain at this point.

Salem – Officers arrested Paul Schrag, 35, last known address East Liverpool, on an active warrant out of the Columbiana County Sheriff’s Officers after observing him driving through a parking lot in the 2800 block of East State Street at 12:24 p.m. Tuesday and knew he had the warrant for his arrest. – Officers responded to the 500 block of Walnut Street at 12:25 a.m. Tuesday in reference to a domestic dispute and spoke with the caller, who said his brother was yelling. Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set March 30 for Matthew Scott Howard, 39, Annesley Road, East Liverpool, charged with fifth-degree felony improper handling firearms in a motor vehicle and misdemeanors of operating a vehicle impaired first offense and OVI refusal with prior within 20 years. Howard allegedly had a loaded 9mm handgun in a holster near the handlebars of his motorcycle during a traffic stop while allegedly impaired on March 9 in Elkrun Township. Sheriff’s Office — A deputy at 11:01 a.m. Saturday investigated a complaint of criminal damaging to multiple vehicles on Buck Road in Knox Township. Evidence was collected at the scene, with an investigation opened.
