Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a preliminary/pretrial hearing was set Nov. 3 for Mark N. Hayes, 59, Phoenix, Ariz., charged with fourth-degree felony assault on a peace officer and misdemeanors of obstructing official business and disorderly conduct. Officers spoke with first responders who advised that they were going to have to force entry due to a medical emergency. Municipal LISBON — In Columbiana County Municipal Court, cases against John Dennis Lanam, 45, Anderson Boulevard, East Liverpool, were bound over to the county grand jury for third-degree felonies of strangulation and having weapons while under disability and misdemeanor assault for allegedly striking a woman with a closed fist, throwing her down ad using his forearm to place around her throat to choke her after an argument on Oct. 10 in Liverpool Township. Sheriff’s Office — A woman on Union Street, Washingtonville reported at 10:46 p.m. Saturday that she was in the kitchen when the back door began to open and a man began to walk in. She slammed the door shut while pushing him out and locked the door. He stayed in his car, a black Toyota sedan, until 10 minutes prior to a deputy arriving. No forced entry was made. Upon arrival, the deputy checked the area but had no contact with anything or anyone.
