SALEM — Beaver Local junior high jumper Landon Wheatley and Salem senior long jumper Lucas Adams were at the top of their game at the 122nd Columbiana County Track and Field Meet on Thursday. The two indoor state champions repeated as county champions in their specialties. “It’s nice to have this meet later in the season and going against a jumper like Lucas,” Wheatley said. United 7, Columbiana 0 COLUMBIANA – United got back on track in the Eastern Ohio Athletic Conference with a 7-0 win over Columbiana on Thursday. Quentin Taylor went six strong innings for the Eagles with 11 strikeouts, but sidestepped seven walks to preserve the shutout with the help of Jason Pratt who threw a scoreless seventh.
