Highway patrol cruiser struck by wrong-way driver in East Liverpool

EAST LIVERPOOL — A three-vehicle injury crash involving a wrong-way driver and a marked Ohio State Highway Patrol cruiser at 8:19 p.m. Saturday, July 4, on U.S. Route 30 in the city of East Liverpool remains under investigation. A trooper from the Lisbon Post was on routine patrol in a marked cruiser when the vehicle was struck by a Lincoln SUV traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the divided highway. COLUMBIANA — The city has earned an Auditor of State Award.
