Salem schools forecast projected in the positive for next three years

SALEM — The Salem City School District is projected to remain in the black for the next three years before trending into the red amid ongoing funding uncertainty for Ohio’s public schools. Each year, Ohio school districts present and approve a five-year forecast in the first half of the school year, and a second revised forecast in the second half. United Local coach shares plans for team room for female athletes

HANOVERTON — A United Local High School coach has unveiled plans for a dedicated team room for girls’ athletic programs, with a separate locker room for visiting teams. Girls Basketball Coach Cory Leek presented plans to the United Local Board of Education in July and August. LISBON — Former Liverpool Township police chief Jayson Jackson waived his right to a preliminary hearing Monday, with his case for fourth-degree felony domestic violence bound over for consideration by the Columbiana County Grand Jury.
