SALEM —The Salem City School district has begun the process of seeking its next superintendent. “Salem Quaker pride is something that has defined this district for generations. LISBON — The Columbiana County Park District is looking for photographers, both children and adults, to capture the essence of the district’s parks and submit their work for a photo contest, with May 31 the deadline to submit photos. Oral rabies baiting to begin Saturday

LISBON — Oral rabies baiting will begin Saturday by the Ohio Department of Health and U.S. Department of Agriculture throughout Columbiana County and Lisbon and other Ohio counties, with residents asked not to touch the baits that are meant for raccoons. Columbiana County Health District Health Services Administrator Amanda Amato announced the annual bait drop during her report to the health board Wednesday. Judge denies motion to reconsider dismissal of Negley landfill lawsuit

LISBON — A man whose lawsuit over the Penn-Ohio Landfill was dismissed also lost his motion for reconsideration. In a one-sentence entry, Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Megan Bickerton denied the motion for reconsideration filed Monday by Dennis Scott Wallace.
