BOARDMAN — Southwoods Health announced the opening of Southwoods Express Care. Located at 7629 Market St., the facility provides care that is non-urgent but still requires immediate attention — from flu, coughs and colds to sprains, strains and minor injuries.

“We continue to focus on the community’s needs by expanding our services and helping patients gain convenient access to quality care,” said Ed Muransky, Southwoods Health chief executive officer. “At Southwoods, we know how busy life can be. That’s why we looked into opening an express care – there is a need for after hours, weekend healthcare services when you can’t get in to see your doctor or you want to bypass an emergency room wait.”

“Southwoods Express Care is able to treat almost any routine illness or injury,” Muransky continued. “And it’s a great alternative to visiting an emergency room, allowing for shorter wait times and lower costs.”
