Pasta dinner, Chinese auction to benefit Salineville fire chief

SALINEVILLE — The Salineville Volunteer Fire Department will host a pasta dinner and Chinese auction from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the fire hall to benefit Fire Chief Jeff Lewis in his battle against cancer. Lewis is going through active treatment and the department has been actively raising funds to help cover his medical expenses. Barnyard Buddies have busy month

The Barnyard Buddies 4-H Club had a productive and exciting month, highlighted by a successful fern fundraiser that brought in a thrilling total of $4,328. The club’s top sellers, Jett Sanor, Hali Sanor and Claire Bloss, were recognized for their outstanding efforts and contribution to the fundraiser’s ultimate success. Advisors also prepared for the 4-H season by handing out project books, helping everyone get organized and guide everyone through the progress of their projects.
