Sheriff’s Office — Telecommunication harassment was reported at 10:07 p.m. Sunday by a Salem Township resident on Salem Unity Road. — An alarm was reported at 11:05 p.m. Saturday at Dollar General, state Route 172, Hanover Township. Two local public libraries receive grant funding

Two local public libraries have been awarded state funding. The Salem Public Library will receive $10,143 and the Columbiana Public Library $13,500 in Guiding Ohio Online grants through the State Library of Ohio. During its May meeting, the State Library of Ohio Board approved more than $368,000 in federal Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) funding for eighteen public libraries across the state.
