Greenway Trail parking lot in Leetonia will be closed Friday

LISBON — The parking lot at the Washington Street trailhead in Leetonia at the 10-mile marker for the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail will be closed Friday for repaving and could be closed a second day if necessary for the work. Former East Liverpool City Health District food inspector trial scheduled for Nov. 3

LISBON —Former East Liverpool City Health District food service inspector Alan Masters is scheduled to face a jury trial at 9 a.m. Nov. 3 for allegedly falsifying food inspection reports. Masters, 64, West Eighth Street, Salem, was accompanied by his hired attorney, Bruce Williams, during a pretrial Wednesday afternoon before Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge Megan Bickerton. Saltwell Road has reopened

LISBON — Saltwell Road in Lisbon is reopened. Lisbon water department workers removed the barricades mid-morning Tuesday, allowing motorists access to the road from state Route 45 west to Dickey Drive and beyond. The closure of that section of Saltwell Road had been extended to May 14, but Lisbon Water Department Senior Plant Operator Chris Peterson said the project to replace a collapsed sewer line was completed Friday, with all the equipment removed Monday to make way for the opening Tuesday.
