Columbiana council promotes police officer

COLUMBIANA — The city promoted a police officer and filled a vacant seat on the zoning board of appeals in recent weeks. During its Sept. 15 meeting, city council approved hiring Bryan Granchie as sergeant for the Columbiana Police Department. Granchie first joined the force in October of 2014 and then took over as K-9 officer in February of 2018, a position he has held since that time.
